Created by Nancy Whealtey – Instructor Nancy Whealtey
Will equip students with the knowledge and tools to dive deep into the Scriptures. Our assumptions often get in the way of our understanding the Bible; we will learn to identify the biases that trip us up. We will discover the principles necessary to responsibly interpret the different genres of Scripture, and we will consider the many layers of context which cause the Scriptures to come alive with meaning. Balancing theory with practice, students will engage deeply with the Bible through exegetical exercises and a final paper.
